We're hiring a web engineer

Rendered Text is looking for a creative web engineer to join its team in Novi Sad. We need you to help us break new ground in our consulting and product development business.

You will work on the whole stack. From analyzing requirements, writing acceptance and unit tests, designing and implementing the backend application and data model, to integrating visual design.

You will be part of one of our small teams working on a web app for a startup with tens of thousands of users. Or you may be helping us take Semaphore to a new level.

We need you to be, or quickly become, proficient with:

  • Ruby programming language
  • Ruby on Rails framework
  • relational and non-relational databases
  • client-side languages (JavaScript, CoffeeScript) and frameworks such as jQuery and Backbone.js
  • test-driven development practice

Requirements

  • strong computer science background
  • ability to take ownership of all parts of a web project
  • understanding of general user experience and UI design principles
  • good writing skills
  • previous experience with technologies listed above is desirable

Responsibilities

  • building all aspects of our web apps
  • maintaining, testing, and iterating on web apps
  • communicating with customers
  • working with designers to bring designs to life
